ABOUT -
Of the hundreds of outdoor courts in New York City, “The Rucker” is by far the most iconic. In 2021, the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) partnered with the NYC Parks Department to completely renovate Greg Marius Court at Holcombe Rucker Park in Harlem.
The mission was to preserve and honor the history of Rucker Park, which has supported rising talent and served as a source of pride for the Harlem community for years. Every summer since, the NBPA comes back to Rucker to host a youth training and open-run, honoring their commitment to the area.
WILL-V was the official apparel sponsor for this year’s event, outfitting all players with custom black and grey shirts, and branded NBPA / WILL-V shorts for coaches and staff.
It was a pleasure to partner with, and help support the NBPA and NYC Parks on an initiative so close to home. One with the intention to educate the youth, and preserve a space that contributes to the health and wellbeing of so many.
HSS (Hospital for Special Surgery) was also a sponsor. HSS is the #1 ranked hospital in the U.S. for orthopedics and the official Hospital and Team Physicians to more than 20 high performing teams and leagues including the New York Giants, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets New York Liberty, New York Mets.
